Extremely odd stuff

Avatar of chessknightben

Look at this game -> https://ww.chess.com/variants/qiang-xiangqi/game/84535143. it said that white lost on time but white still has 10 minutes. Has this been reported before? If It hasn’t, please fix it.

This is because White disconnected and therefore lost because they did not reconnect on time

Avatar of MegaThief

A disconnected player has 60 seconds to reconnect before they forfeit on time. The 60 second timer starts when it's their move, if not already.

I have a bug.
Why do people stay in the leaderboards after they were proven to be cheating or haven't played in a while?
Look at Giveaway blitz #8 - Jacques_Ouzi
Was cheating against me, was banned 37 days ago and he is still up there.
Absurd to me.
Or #18, who hasn't played in 2 months. Why is he still up there?

The leaderboard ratings always remain the same, even if the player is inactive/banned

Pretty sure that’s not intended though, usually they are automatically scrubbed

It usually stays until the next server refresh, but there is a high chance it's still there

4pc miscalculates some auto claimed endings.

https://www.chess.com/variants/4-player-chess/game/85655720/224/4

This game is the second time this has happened to me. The game was auto claimed by yellow which was the only player left with a piece other than a king. The auto claim should have awarded red 10 pts because he only had a king remaining but instead awarded red 30 pts. I don’t care about the rating points, but this is an obvious bug y’all should be aware of.

Avatar of zisal2029

@RadarBubba that is not a bug. Red got 30 points because he was the last player standing (+10 points) and earned extra for the Green zombie king (+20 points).

Look at the following two games. I tried to test my new version of Spinner Clog, but my iPad kept reloading randomly. Why is it happening? In the second example, note that one of these incidents came right after I checkmated Blue.

After witnessing this also happen in other variants, I have determined that the problem may be the immune zombies causing the server to either be overloaded or crash.

@zisal2029 The most a single king should be able to get from a resignation by one player with an additional zombie king on the board is 20 pts (10 pts + 10 pts) because the single king has insufficient material to get 20 pts for a checkmate. The game awarded 10 pts plus 20 pts which should be considered a bug.

That is intentional. In other variants, the last player on the board, regardless of number of pieces remaining, receives points for every remaining non-immune zombie on the board. Also, I think it makes claiming the win more difficult.

Also, I was playing against myself in every end, but the server said that blue got to the hill, and 1. Blue hadn’t have even reached the hill, he was 4 moves ahead and 2. The other three players kept playing! Sorry I couldn’t give you a photo or a link.

For point 1, did the king, specifically, get to the hill?

For 2, this is how giveaway hill works. In giveaway, the first to reach hill get 600 points, 2nd gets 400, and so on. The game doesn't end until only 1 player remains
