Couple of things to try...
- Double-press the "Home" button on the front/bottom of your ipad to open up the device's multi-tasking bar; then hold (long-tap) the Chess app till it starts "vibrating" and hit the X that appears on the icon. That completely terminates the app, so you can start it fresh.
- Of course, turning the iPad completely off and on again will do likewise - for all open apps.
- You could also simply log out (from app Settings) and login again
- More severe: Long-tap/hold the app icon till everything starts vibrating on the main view and hit the X - confirm that you want to delete the app and then reinstall from the Store.
Also, can you send me a link to a game where this happened; maybe there's something in the logs that will shed some light.
Finally, can you remember... were you on a 3g or wifi connection when this happened?
Thanks!
I recently encourntered some strange things while playing a live ten minute game on my iPad. Pieces started to disappear and the game notation indicated the moves as null. My board showed no correspondence with what was actually happening in the game.
Has anyone else encountered this before?
I might have to reset the app on my iPad so does anyone recall how this is done?
