Bughouse Simul, allowed or not?

Just a quick question, are we allowed to create a 2nd account and partner on two different boards? I have seen a lot of people do it, and I want to know if it's legal or not.

Not currently.  You're only supposed to have one account.

I know bughouse simuls are a part of bughouse culture, but it's not currently supported.  Using two accounts, in addition to being a violation against multiaccounting rules, creates concerns about rating manipulation - some people sandbag with one account and then self-partner to inflate their main account's rating.

The proper way to handle it would be to display both boards side-by-side and have a single account controlling both boards.  That's obviously not implemented yet, but if you use the "Make a suggestion" feature under the Help menu, that will help let staff know what people want and what the community considers important.

So everyone who does it will get banned? I can give you the usernames

It's dealt with on a case-by-case basis, but the standard practice for multiaccounting is to either close all but one account, or to give them a few days to choose which account to leave open and close the other(s).  If there's rating manipulation, though, all the accounts might get banned.

I'm busy and don't have a lot of time to take on extra investigations, but you can use the report link on their pages:

Ok, thanks!

I think streamers can do that, and it´s awesomely great for the show, not so much for the poor brain that has to handle 2 or 3 simultaneous games xD

I think that it should be allowed for streamers and such but has to be communicated with chess.com and the multiple usernames' names be given to chess.com to avoid problems.

Staff account used for Komodo to play odds matches against titled players.  Somebody (probably @erik) decided to mark it as a GM, probably to be funny.

It is an engine account, so an obvious choice as an example of how to report someone.  I would have done @erik, but the report button isn't there for staff.
