Busting the King's Indian, an idea with White

I dont know the variation, but if I were facing it, I'd ignore the knight on g3 and get moving with queenside counterplay. The issue I'd see with Ne2-g3 is that it has little use there for offensive operation in the center.
In that game I thought the whole h5, Qb6-c7-d8-g5, Nh7 was wasting time compared with directly Qc7, Nd7 Rb8 and b5. Of course, with fast time controls, you operate on intuitive patterns and every move made fits with common ones. It's all easier in retrospect!
On another issue-- if you take suggestions, I'd like to hear more about the a3 line vs center counter.

Great point. It would be interesting to find a game where Black facees active play with Rb8 and b5 as you suggested.
on your second question, are you looking at 1e4 d5 2ed5 Qd5 3 Nc3 Qa5 4a3!?
