I don't work for chesscom, so I don't know their take on it. But it's not computer assistance or engine use... it is a way to better communicate with your partner. I don't see why it would be any different than using discord or a phone to talk to your partner, which are clearly allowed.

Cant see both, so it's unusable...

Solved it! After trying full screen (f11), Ctrl+/Ctrl-, and changing desktop resolution - none of which works - discovered there is an invisible little arrow just right of the h1 square, which you can use to make the main board slightly smaller!
