Can't open messages on my phone

On my I phone I am stuck in v3 and can't get to v2. I also cannot get any message to open in v3 on my phone.

I have posted in two different forums and got no help.  

Sorry to hear that. The app works much better than mobile web - I highly recommend that. We are also working on mobile web. 

"App" versus "mobile web". 
I have no idea what the difference is between those two.
But I posted in another forum regarding JustADude80's situation. 
My post there might not help - but I tried.

i'm mentioning temporarily shutting down Wifi and Data on the phone -
then finding all apps that need to be disabled.  Under "Manage Apps"
Idea: First delete their Cache (but not their Data) then Force Stop and Disable.
For example all Bluetooth programs if you don't use them.
This saves battery time among other things.

But I'm not an IT professional.  I don't claim to know what's wrong.
Many of the staff here probably know lots more - about what Apps are useless.
Kind of like a lot of the extra useless services that run on Windows ...
that are totally inappropriate and counterproductive for standalone Home computers.

Can be done after shutting down or temporarily disabling various things -
as I mentioned previously.
I had reason to use this phone solution during a recent trip.  It Worked!
Its very simple.  After some adjustments - an idea - shut the phone down.  Completely.
Then power it up again.
This is an intermediate choice.  Its not as mild as just blanking the screen.  Or Airplane Mode.
But it is a much milder choice than Factory Reset ...
Could you lose data or miss messages because of shutting down?  I don't know.  
Its just an idea.
