Canto Ostinato and Chess

Yesterday I went to Canto Ostinato, a concert for 4 piano's composed by the Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt. Yesterday it was performed by 3 piano's. It's 90 minutes of non stop music. Basic themes repeted en with variations in the style of minimal music.

While listening to the music after  a while you cannot help but wander off with your thougts. Among others in my mind I went to my chess games. Thinking of positions and moves. Not the best or most reliable way to play chess, but it happend. And after a while the music takes you back to the here and now.

Just wanted to share this with you. If you want to get an impression of Canto Ostinato, click on the link below.

Was it productive?

Did you get ideas worth exploring in your chess games?

Yes it was. In the days to come I finished a crucial game victoriously.
