Presented here is an extended version of the Caro-Kann Classical Mainline Variation, consisting  of 11 moves.  This extends the initial sequence of moves presented in Quiz 2.  White's moves are the ones most common responses, while Black's are those recommended by Lars Schandorff in "The Caro-Kann" (Quality Chess publication's Grandmaster Repertoire series).

The two most common moves for white on move 11 of the Caro-Kann Classical Mainline variation are 11. Bf4 and 11. Bd2 (see below, from the chessgames.com opening explorer):
