This year the central division is absolutely loaded. As of Sunday Morning, my Red Wings are first in the west (and the NHL), but Chicago and St. Louis are only one point behind. Also, only 4 points behind Chicago and St. Louis are the Nashville predators! I have never seen 4 of the top 6 teams in one conference from the same division.
That's pretty cool! Since I'm a flames fan, I never get to look that high up the standings. :(
It's also neat in the Southeast, where it's the complete opposite. If it wasn't for the divisional seeding, no one may make it!
Yeah, but it's so jam packed in the west. Flames are starting to get some players back from injury, and the cammalerri signing was nice as well. They're such a Jekyll and Hyde team though.
Detroit is the closest in the league to a modern day dynasty.
I think the Hawks take this division. Sharp and Toews will be back, and they can run with the best the league has to offer. St Louis is dangerous, and I expect the Wings to taper off a bit. Go Hawks!
