I don't know if you desperately want that wK on d3, and if you want it to happen in a directmate setting without any further conditions. If not, here's a h#2 (1 solution)

and the white king doesn't matter, maybe even at h6 with the g pawn removed.

It's just a interestng pattern, I cant remember seeing it anywhere.

You could try something lame-ish like this (white to move, mate in two)

K at h6 seems interesting, should be possible, why not. In the first position you give, there are two black pawns that could move if not check, now there is only one to domesticate

Look at the move list, you'll see your mate with the king in front of the pawns.

But as the main line, I gave the toughest defense by black.

I guess Kin in front of the pawns is the same. Now, can somebody find a forcing line? lol
