I barely get like 5 book moves in my games anymore tbh theory is overrated

At our level theory rarely extends more than 5-8 moves and then you're own your own.

Same at my level... played like 7 moves of theory and then got outplayed just now...

Why are you learning theory at 800 lmao. Also you should really play some rated game to figure out your actual rating

I've never understood, what does quoting w/o anything else mean. Is it supposed to be mockery or what?

alright, so as a caro-kann extremist, i don't know or understand any books on the sicilian, but for e4/d4 openings i highly recommend literally any book on the vienna because of how good it is. intermediate/advance, you can just search up "list of different tactics", solve some puzzles for each, and you're good. i don't know of intermediate/advance books. an extra recommendation, i'm noticing that you don't have an item for endgames which are more than important, so i'm forcefully recommending jeremy silman's book on endgames

800s don't play Najdorf theory lol they just play what looks good which is usually just a stupid bc4 nf3 nc3 d3 setup against everything

Same with the 1800s *sigh*

Art of attack is pretty good tbh.
