Hey guys! Tomorrow on Discord during our weekly Community Hour IM Kassa Korley and I will be having an AMA with Markus Hansson, Chess.com's Coach of the Month!

Since I know our average blitz rating in the Discord is around 700 (hehe), I think everyone can learn a thing or two from Markus so I opened this Forum Topic here for you to send in chess questions or specific chess improvement tips you'd like to get from him.

Here's our article on Markus' career as a chess coach if you wanna learn a bit more about him, although I'm sure most of you have seen him around the server.

The stream will be on the Community Hour stage at 1PM Eastern Time! (Find out what that is in your timezone here).

So comment down below what you'd like to know about chess improvement/chess studying/getting a coach or about anything you need help with. We'll select the best questions for Markus to answer tomorrow! See you there!

How do you get better at finding checkmates? I struggle to find them and I've only won through time limit or resignation.

What are your recommendations for moves to create imbalances against the London and play a little outside the common prep for it?

How can you see when you can use a tactic? I can sometimes find a fork but it's extremely rare. How can you see if you opponent has a tactic? I always lose because my opponent is really good at finding tactics.

Bro that’s a lot of work to put in when your opponents will probably go 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bf4
