nice could not get it...i've got a long way to go
chess combinations - skewer

I really don't understand why the black queen doesn't take the rook? It would also protect pawn on a4?
i would just take the pawn rook a-8 to a-4 to put the queen under pressure and if you were to take my rook,i would just move my bishop from h-5 to e-8 skewer
In order to give a small input here I'd like to start a new topic with intresting combinations and my chosen first topic is the skewer as it is useful in many situations and can be a real pain in the arse. Im starting with a famous chess study, hopefully some others will join and I will also post some more if the things gets running :) if you dont know what I'm actually talking about a skewer is a move where I attack two pieces in a line, in contrast to a pin the more valuable piece is in front, but its often called a reverser pin aswell :) try it out and try to understand why black moves maybe in a strange way on first sight... would be cool if some other can maybe add further practice puzzle regarding this topic :)
