Queen to Play (One of my favorites!)
CHESS FILMS?

There's the very funny 1925 Russian silent movie "Chess Fever" which was filmed at the Moscow 1925 tournament. Wonderful cameos of Capablanca, Marshall, Reti, etc. Also the 1970's documentary "The Great Chess Movie" which you can find on youtube. More recently there's "Brooklyn Castle" and "Revolver".
Hey Chessaholics, know any good films/movies centered on chess?
Just if your like me & love all things chess related!
I can only think of 2 really!
KNGHTS OF SOUTH BRONX is one of em. Its a really nice film based on a true story about a teacher who brings hope to kids that have never had that! Its made great by Ted Danson of all people! Its sorta like the utterly amazing Dead Poets Society (but knowhere near as good obviously) In the sense that, instead of poetry being the catalyst of transformation. It is our great game of chess!
INNOCENT MOVES is the other. (aka finding Bobby Fischer) The best thing about this film is we get Laurence Fishburne ( the mighty Morpheus ) as the street chess hustler. Then there is another guy who is a GM and dosnt believe that the aggressive sacrafice chess is real chess. They are both teaching the main character who is a young chess genius there own style. We get to see him integrate both ways at the end. Funny scene too, where the boy kicks his dads arse at chess and his dad is really trying!
KNIGHT MOVES is another one, i havnt seen that though. Its got Christopher Lambert in.
If you know of any others post em here!!
