Found on "Jim Loy's Checkers Pages" (http://www.jimloy.com/chess/kotov.htm)

Think Like a Grandmaster - by Alexander Kotov

Book Review, © Copyright 2003, Jim Loy

This is one of the classic chess books of all time. And it is fascinating and fun. The idea of the book is to teach you to analyze variations, accurately and efficiently. Whether you are a near beginner or a Master, this book will improve your game.

For checkers players (and other game players): I recommend this book for checkers players, as the basic ideas should work for any thinking game. A small part of the book requires no chess knowledge at all. About half of the book requires enough chess knowledge to make the moves, and recognize simple wins and losses, and know a little bit of chess terminology. And the other half of the book (chapter 2 - Positional Judgement, and chapter 4 - The Ending, and a little of the other chapters) require more chess skill. If you find these parts too difficult, just skip them or skim them just to get some idea what is going on. Read and reread chapter 1, and I think that you will be greatly rewarded.

I cannot believe that this guy hit the forums link, hit the new post, and took one minute of his life to write this. Its like if I would create a post, saying that lack of water is the main reason for being thirsty. Ah well.. I guess the american flag besides his name explains a lot of things :)

Sometimes certain things just need to be said. It's something we all do, in fact it's how I lost my last game. Besides, he's from L.A. cut him some slack. :P (joking, joking)

"I cannot believe" anyone too cheap to support Chess.com with the minimum premium membership "took  one minute of his life to create a post" to gratuitously insult the honorable flag of the United States of America as an excuse for attacking our supporting  member who pays his own way on this site. Sir, you are under no obligation to read this or any other post in this forum, and your unprovoked ill usage is confirmation that you are neither liberal-minded nor a gentleman.

Listen, Bush :)

I am far from being cheap, and if you believe I'm cheap only because I use a service that is free, then it only shows the limitations of your ability to think by yourself ;)

I did not insult the american flag, the american flag does not need me to be insulted. Polluting the earth to death, wars, the fact that more than 50 percent of americans are too fat, the fact that americans still believe in creationnism, because Bush tell them to do so, even if in 2008 we know with science that its all bullshit, etc, etc.. All this is making the american flag a real joke, they don't need me :)

Sir, you are in no obligation to read this or any other post in this forum, and your unprovoked ill usage is confirmation that you are neither able to think by yourself nor an happy person.

My post was intented to point the funny post the guy posted, and thats precisely what happened. People smiled with me. Exept you. You are frustrated, unhappy, angry, sad, and probably a lot more things, but I'm happy here, everyone is. Smile, lol. Move out from there if it makes you feel bad when people talk about america that way, because people know now.. they even started to teach it in schools, about america, so youre not out or your pain lol. Just sit back, have a glass of milk (not pepsi cola), put some music on, and smile, lol, no-one is attacking you :)

OK! We didn't do drugs! And our flag is better than not our flag, even that we has a chess competition, which chess flag is more bigger and better!

I think, Donald Trump's flag of America is biggest, so far.. City Hall gave the order to pull his American flag  down! Donald refused, and have been told, that they can even sue him for refusing!.. But he will hold it up, at his own Ranch at the Palo Verde, California.
