Chess or Checkers?

I know most of you are pro-chess, but what about checkers?

I like chess more, since it has more strategy, more options, but I also like the thinking of checkers, making thick walls, controlling the board, promotion, it feels like chess but in a similar way and gives everything a type of value instead of making it secondhand like in chess, where the king is most powerful.
