I'll start this forum off with the first quote:

“When you see a good move, look for a better one” - Source Unknown

This is one of my most inspiring quotes that I've ever heard because it challenges me to keep on looking for better moves every game!

Good stuff Oker, thanks for getting this forum going! A good one I know is:

"When the chess game is over, the pawn and the king go back to the same box" - Etienne Goldstein

This quote is another goody that people might like, it shows us that chess, is just chess, no more. At the end, no matter the winner or loser, everything goes back to its original position (except ranking/points)!

"don't lose" - pablo mercade

Lol Pablo, why don't you actually put famous ones like!:

"Chess is as much a mystery as women" - Purdy - ya, it's actually famous!

"A chess game is divided into three stages: the first, when you hope you have the advantage, the second when you believe you have an advantage, and the third... when you know you're going to lose!" - Tartakower

That is very true about KERES and Veheguru! The older I grow, I have started valueing pawns way more. At first, I didn't care, like it was just a minor pawn. But now I know that a single pawn up/pawn down can change the whole game, can make that difference between that win or that loss!

These are a few more quotes:

"You may learn much more from a game you lose than from a game you win. You will have to lose hundreds of games before becoming a good player". (Jose Raul Capablanca)

"One doesn't have to play well, it's enough to play better than your opponent".(Siegbert Tarrasch).

"Pawns: they are the soul of this game, they alone form the attack and defense". (Philidor)

"When you see a good move, look for a better one". (Emanuel Lasker)

Hey Oker, the last quote is your favorite and it's by Emanuel Lasker!

Hey World Wide Chess members, I just liked this quote and I wanted all of you to see it:

"Value what you have while you have it"

This could relate to almost anything in this world. It could relate to chess peices, people, places, and even things (nouns). But honestly guys, actually take a moment to think about it and thank everyone. Yeah, that's right, take it in!
