I am still learning from Learning lessons here and I probably should study these lessons more thoroughly (not just watching the 10min videos and finish the lesson challenges with about a dozen mistakes then be done with it, like how I am doing currently).

But I was wondering if any fellow Under1000 members (or coaches) here would recommend any YT channels that he/she found more enjoyable and instructive.

I would recommend GothamChess for all beginners, it definitely makes the learning of chess much more enjoyable. Hikaru can also be great and very fun to watch but sometimes he doesn‘t explain everything in a way that beginners would understand. As always, I would still recommend doing at least one chess.com lesson, three puzzles, and one rapid game per day (at least) to keep making progress. The book “Bobby Fischer teaches Chess“ is also great for all people from 100 to 1000 rating. I got from 100 to 1000 rapid in just four months using all of the tips of above, and you can too! Keep working at it, and good luck!

Like Mason said GothamChess is definitely a good option, maybe you aren't interested in chess books but if you are I would recommend Complete book of chess strategy it's a pretty easy read and boosted my rating 300+ points.

I recommend Chessly, it's made my Gothamchess and it has a lot of courses! BUT sadly they are HECKA expensive, like 64 TO 80 DOLLARS! but if they're on sale eventually I think you should check some of them out, the courses are pretty much Gothamchess videos but with drills and studies and are more in depth than the videos, and if not Gothamchess on YouTube.

Thanks guys ! I will definitely check out GothamChess and Chessly channel as you guys mentioned.

I do watch some videos from Chess Vibes by Nelson, which is actually the first YouTube video that I watched to learn how to counter Fried Liver attack. My liver was fried too many times so I had to find a way to counter it somehow and it did help me survive some of them.

As for the books, there aren't many choices to buy foreign books off-line since I live in a rural area in Korea, but I did see “Bobby Fischer teaches Chess“ in a second hand book store last time I visited Seoul. So I will definitely buy that when I visit Seoul again, hopefully in the near future.

Hey! I'm a new member from this club. Even though I'm rated above 1000, I would recommend you guys to watch a channel called thechessnerd. He's a good guy who reviews his games from tournaments, he teaches tactics, he makes streams, he plays live games with people around his city... Yeah, he's 2400 rated. Go look up his channel happy.png
