1. The official name of the league is : Chess.com TM LEAGUE
2. Chess.com TM LEAGUE is a team match tournament which host the 32 most powerful teams in Chess.com based on its average rating and number of members. (country teams excluded)
3. The league will start each year the 20th of April according to this methodology:
-ROUND 1(1/16 Finals): 8 groups / 4 teams. 2 first class. Go to ROUND 2
-ROUND 2(1/8 Finals): 4 groups / 4 teams. 2 first class. Go to ROUND 3
-ROUND 3(1/2 Finals): 2 groups / 4 teams. 1 first class. Go to FINAL. 2nd class. Go to 3rd PLACE match
The last 8 classified are susceptible to lose its next season rights of participation in case new teams are willing to applicate
4. Match challenges methodology and group classification
All groups, team challenges and dates will be defined by the pairing board
From the pairing board date, there is 2 days to accept the challenge and a total of 5 days to lock the rosters and start the games
All games have to finish before 90 days from the initial date, otherwise we will take the score in that given moment as the final result.
The challenging group will raise 3 challenges with the following features: -"TEAM A vs TEAM B -TM LEAGUE-BEG-ROUND#"0-1499 rating / 5-∞ players / 2 concurrent games / autostart off / 3 days move -"TEAM A vs TEAM B -TM LEAGUE-MED-ROUND#" 1500-1899 rating / 5-∞ players / 2 concurrent games / autostart off / 3 days move -"TEAM A vs TEAM B -TM LEAGUE-TOP-ROUND#" >1900 rating / 5-∞ players / 2 concurrent games / autostart off / 3 days move
Final and 3rd Place Match will be played in a single match with no rating or player number limits: -"TEAM A vs TEAM B -TM LEAGUE - FINAL-"
Each complete match in BEG and MED cat. win will count as 1 point, a lost 0 and draw (in case of) 0.5. In TOP cat. A win will count as 2 points, a lost 0 and draw 0.5
-The sum of the individual games result will be taken into account only as tie break system. Eg If a team match ends: BEG 10-0 MED 15-19 TOP 5-1 The final score will be 2-1 and the winning team will get an accummulated tie break score of 10 points positive and the losing team 10 points negative.
