I was just messaging some chess.com friends who used to be in The Real Club and I'd like to share a message we exchanged. I want this to be a friendly a quality group of old

Thanks. I hope we can be the same friendly group of old.
Also, I was chatting with @bong711 recently and they want to make sure we don't get spamming members or "kids" who aren't serious about learning etc. so it would be a good ideas to update the club to "invite only" vs "anyone can join" that way we can select which members get in. Maybe you can leave it "open to anyone" for he first week or so, that way The Real Club group can easily "re-join", but after maybe a week or so, we can make it "invite only"
p.s. In these settings, new members can still ask to join the club, but they won't be instantly accepted, we'll probably let in 95% of the members who ask, but having this feature alone tends to deter to trollers and less mature members.
