“Alekhine alert” by Timothy Taylor
its a repertoire book, not a general overview book, so it’s great for practical use
Context: This is in the Alekhine's defense themed tournament by @ukrainiandude , which I believe I am winning at the moment. I've had some really good results against some good players, and some not good players but it's fine. I've been growing very disheartened with my rating recently (new -70 tilt nice) and I've just been attacking like a madman in my recent games, rook lifts, pins, sacrifices, the whole cabinet. This Argentinian guy has been giving me a lot of trouble in this tournament, and was somehow able to crunch out two wins from our two games. I hope this can be a lesson to newer players, don't resign unless you're sure you're losing.
