Everyone has been opted into the beta code. They are trying to fix the code, but it may be a few days or weeks before all the bugs are fixed.
completely unplayable garbage

Chuck, is there an alternative way to play bughouse where they did not screw up the code? They don't have bughouse on my android so I only play on my windows browser.

@demoncat777 They put everyone in the beta as far as I know. Just have to wait it out and hope they fix it.
The programmer @jdcannon would like it if anyone can help him diagnose the problems... e.g., when a piece randomly drops, had you recently clicked another piece? Do you have drag on? Was there a premove? etc.

Are any of the lag issues related to the new "smooth graphics" that were introduced a short while ago? In some instances when I tried to move a piece for a pre-move that piece wouldn't get put down...it would 'smoothly' go back to the side of the board. A friend of mine also said that might be due to my opp making a move and the lag was preventing me from seeing that move. mind you all this while I have 4 bars at the bottom of my screen indicating I have very low lag!

I also have to point out that the only times I've been lagged to death (can't pick up pieces on my move even after refreshing my browser) is against those from certain country flags. Can opponents 'suffer' from the way chess.com handles opponents lag?
All the lag for me starts when there is little time left on one of the players clocks. Before that things usually works ok. So it seems like the server are getting too many things to work with late in games.

This almost points to it being done on purpose--that being down time forces someone to make it hard for the opponent to move. I'm suggesting that it still might be a server problem in that the server is compensating (or overcompensating) for the lag of 1 person onto 1 or the other 3 playing that bughouse game. I've played enough games to see that this is not always equal. some games I'm only affected and others my partner as well.

@chuckmoulton JW if anyone is not having any issues, and if so, what they are using.
@jdcannon this site worked 1000x better before the update. If you can just do a rollback, I think most people would be content. The problems seem to occur for me as more pieces are accumulated on the side of the board. At the beginning of the game, it works great. After I receive a few pieces from my partner, I have trouble actually grabbing the piece in order to drag it for placement. I have to try and grab it a few times before it will register. I suspect the people dropping at a1 or a8 may be misdragging it in these instances, but I'm not sure. Once a lot of pieces have accumulated, which usually happens towards the end of the game, it completely locks up.
A few days ago premove stops working properly, pieces are getting dropped in the corner of the board and then not showing up, lag spikes like crazy, nothing is responsive. Really pulling for the other site to get its bughouse up. done here for a while
