It was midnight. A thick fog had settled over Erzurum, swallowing even the light of the street lamps.
Continue the Story 1
Denis looked behind, the person with the black hoodie was still following him across the narrow alley (hope this was good enough lol)
Denis quickened his pace, his breath visible in the cold air, as the faint echo of footsteps matched his own. Just as he reached the end of the alley, the figure suddenly stopped—and whispered his name.
Denis froze, a chill running down his spine, because he had never told anyone he would be there that night.
He turned behind... The same black hooded man.. He had no escape... or did he?
He decided the only way out would be violence, he punched the man on his stomach, and he clutched it with those filthy hands in pain... Denis ran on to the main street, with the footsteps behind him becoming louder as every second passed by.
He knew there was a bus stop a few hundred meters away, if he made it he would escape. He sprinted with everything he had, and he felt he was clearly outrunning this madman.
He looked forward, a bus was approaching! "This is perfect timing!" thought Denis, he used every ounce of his energy and leaped forward, his head crashing onto someone's leg. "I made it!"
He had escaped for now, but the chase was still on.
(sorry i felt it was a little bad before i edited it)
It had been an hour since Denis last saw the man, and he was finally getting out of his stop.
The bus doors opened, and Denis ran to a bar nearby, he turned behind for a quick glance.. and a few 100 meters away he saw the black hooded man..
Denis ran as fast as he could but then he could see black hands on his eyes and couldn't remember anything…
He woke up choking a cloth stuffed into his mouth, which suffocated him whenever he screamed. His hands and legs were tied to the seat behind.. A voice whispered from the shadows
"Denis...Its finally time for me to get.. MY REVENGE"
The voice was familiar—too familiar—and it sent a chill crawling up his spine. Denis struggled against the ropes, his breath quickening as a shadow stepped into the faint light, revealing a face he thought he’d never see again.
The figure leaned closer, eyes glinting with something far worse than anger, as if every second had been spent waiting for this moment. Denis froze, because he finally remembered—not just the face, but what he had done to deserve it. You remember now,” he whispered. Denis’s breathing quickened as the past he tried to bury finally caught up with him.
Denis’s wrists burned as he twisted against the ropes, but he couldn’t break free. The room felt smaller with every breath, the air heavy and sharp in his lungs. The figure slowly circled him, footsteps echoing like a countdown.
“You really thought it would end like this?” the man said quietly, almost amused. “After everything you did… you still believed you could disappear.”
The room felt tighter. he could hear his own heartbeat louder than the footsteps now.
"You remember now", said the man again, colder this time.
Denis swallowed hard
"...I didn't mean to"
The man stopped circling. "That's not what I asked"
Denis lowered his head. His voice cracked slightly
"I left him there"
Silence.
oh wow this is turning out to be great! ![]()
The man stepped closer.
"You didn't just leave him" he said quietly, "You watched"
Denis's breathing became uneven again, but this time it wasn't from fear alone.
It was recognition.
Like something inside him had been locked away, and someone had finally opened it. (hope this is good)
He took out a sharp dagger out of his cloak stepping closer by the minute. When they were face to face, he lunged at him, but Denis could not feel anything at all and the mysterious figure was gone. And that moment he realized, these days he had severe hallucinations, but then someone or something no, a black hand clenched his shoulder.(In that moment a cold sweat was running down to his cheeks)
A chill ran down his spine, as a deep voice whispered "Denis, time for you to get what you deserve"
Denis jumped up and sprinted forward, turning back to see no, this can't be real... a black hooded man!
"It's him again! I can't get caught this time!"
Denis ran in random directions, with no idea on where to go. He took a few sharp turns, and stole a glance behind. No one, "He can't find me! I must find an area to run to!"
Suddenly, a flickering streetlight revealed a narrow passage between two abandoned buildings. Denis didn’t think—he darted into it, his breath ragged, heart pounding against his chest.
The alley seemed endless, the fog growing thicker with every step, until he heard it again—slow, deliberate footsteps… behind him.
“No… no, this isn’t happening…” Denis whispered, forcing himself to run faster.
Then the passage ended. A dead end.
Denis froze.
The footsteps stopped too.
For a moment, there was only silence…
…and then a low, chilling chuckle echoed through the alley.
Denis looked it was the hooded man laughing hysterically and he said ‘‘DO YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST RUN AWAY. WELLL (still laughing) REVENGE WILL BE SERVED ‘‘!!! Denis seemed hopeless then he said whimpering ’’I had no other option I could had died’’. ‘‘Well I still make sure that you still die’’ said the hooded man. Denis paused and said confused ‘‘ what type of english is that’’? the hooded man did not move and then said ‘‘Oh come on “. now he took off his cloak and pulled out a pistol out of his pocket. He said still laughing ‘‘say good bye to your dreams’’ pointing the gun at him (continue)
We will write a story together. Everyone will write something related to the story at least once a day. When the story is finished, we will create a section called "Erzurum Library" in the Forums section and publish the story there as a PDF. So lets start.
