Hello all, as many of you know, I am a highschool senior currently enrolled in an AP Research class. This class requires me to formulate a research paper, and collect/interpret my data in order to address a gap in research. I need volunteers to participate in my research, and since the general premise of my project deals with chess and memory, I figured chess club goers would be a good population to study. There are two subparts to my data collection, the first being performed in person, preferably some time during our weekly meetings, and will take around 5 minutes. The second part would take place on your own time, and will take around 10 minutes, however you can split it up in order to fit your schedule. (If you choose to participate, more information will be conveyed). A good score on this paper will earn me college credit at any university in America, and 15 minutes of your time could save me thousands of dollars on college payments, so help is greatly appreciated. For the last three months I have researched previous studies similar to mine in order to gain necessary background information, as well as the knowledge required in order to perform quality research. Everything that will be done will be strictly confidential, and your names/scores will not be released to anyone except me. If anyone is curious about what you will be participating in, or the details of my research method and project, feel free to reach out and inquire. Starting sometime around December-January, I will begin my data collection of both highschool and city chess clubs in order to gain a wide range of samples.
