OK the first match is now open - U1800 v Devon. The first Open match will be open shortly, the first U1500 match in a couple of weeks. I suggest - but it's only a suggestion, you must do what you think best - that to maximise our chances people might think about signing up only for the section they fit best. If we are playing one of the bigger teams we need to think about how to avoid being totally outgunned.

I thought I'd start a new forum on this since it looks like it will be running for quite a while! All the groups which have been drawn together are shown in this spreadsheet which one of the admins has helpfully produced:
It can be viewed but not edited. You can see our first Open match is against Gloucestershire, our first U1800 match is against Devon, both starting 1 July, and our first U1500 match is not until 15 July. Matches are open for joining about a week before they start.
We are one of the smaller counties - Yorkshire has 70 players! - but a long way from being the smallest.
