!!! Critical Bug at the start of the game

The game starts even if one of the players did not make a move and just timed out.

This is not a 3 Player Chess. This is a 4 Player Chess. So, it is critical to have all 4 players at the beginning of the game! By definition.

There is no "Abort" button now, so some players just disconnect or let their flag to fall down. This ruins the game completely. And it must be fixed.

I know that it was proposed many times already. But:

1) I want to emphasize that this is very important.

2) It would be good to hear a word from the game developers on how/when they are going to fix this.

This makes it kinda lucky that dead grey pieces have no value (except king) otherwise the player to the left would smash through a ton of pieces to unfairly earn pts... like in the picture above yellow could play g13-g11 and next move take the b8 pawn with queen, basically securing a +20 bonus via the blue king. I think that this bug should be removed.

One option if someone doesn't move at the start of the game would be to automatically replace that player with someone else.

Echoing this - part of the frustration with original "abort" was the fact that other 3 players were tossed back to the pool and needed to wait for new game.  If server detects no move after 30 seconds, it can start preparing a replacement player; so that once timer hits zero, game can be quickly reset and restarted with original 3 players + new player.  Penalizing the "aborting" player with a 6-hour "blocked play" seems a sufficient punishment (with longer-term penalties for repeat offenders).

Or alternative solution:
1. There is searching for players.
2. When there are 4 players into a game, they are seat.
3. And the game not starts, but a clock appears which counts down 15 second. In this 15 seconds all of four players have to press a <<START>> button. If they press, the game starts. If anyone doesn't press he dropped out from the game and goto 1.

So it turns out sooner if anyone leaves the game. What do you think?

@venbagoly I like your idea, although practically is almost the same as the abort button. If you want to abort a game, just let the start timer run out.

Personally I think that the players should have a saying about the matching, but aborting is too disruptive. I would prefer a button "Leave", which you could press anytime before you play your first move. Leaving a game would leave a gap, and the game would halt until another player was available to fill the gap. All remaining players would have their "Leave" buttons enabled again, and the moves played so far would be reset. Leaving a game should come with a small penalty, like waiting for 5 minutes before you can search for a new game, to prevent abuse.

I don't think it is the same. Some players just leave the game and don't press any buttons at all even if there is one.

But I like this idea: "Leaving a game would leave a gap, and the game would halt until another player was available to fill the gap."

I am now a spectator of a 2-players game in a 4-players board.
