Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Vincent Keymer, and Fabiano Caruana all reach the Semi Finals of the Paris Freestyle Chess Tournament that is taking place from Apr. 8th - Apr.14th. After an upset win, Vincent Keymer beat Ian Nepo 2.5 - 1.5 and moved on to the Semi-Finals to challenge Hikaru Nakamura which is many people's favorite to win. Also in the news is Zachary Saine (Thechessnerd) getting 1/3 in his Chess tournament of the Reykjavik Open 2025. This tournament has amazing history and always has exceptional players playing in it including Vasyl Ivanchuk (Previous x3 World Number #2 and challenger to Kasparov). Zach lost in round 1 to a WGM but was able to have a decent performance afterwards and he hopes to perform greatly in the next few rounds!
