how's breaking away from Russia going?
actually I think nowadays, russia might be a good place to move to. lots of land, good people! I read online there is a clause that if you have ancestors who were citizens of pre-soviet or soviet russia you can get preferential treatment from immigration services! If we get another president like obama I might look into it...
Communism is an ideal. In general, an ideal cannot be transposed into a more complex paradigm. So, as such, communism cannot be carried out in a more complex reality.
Singapore, communist? More like the opposite. China with its strange mix is not as bright as it might look...but their leaders still follow Den Xiaoping:

communism is for simpletons, doctrinaires that deny basic human nature. Also, china ditched communism long ago, it's more a one party oligarchy and largely a protectionist capitalist economy (following ideas espoused long ago from The Wealth of Nations book).

American democracy is an oligarchy.
America was set up to be a republic , not a democracy. It morphed into virtual one party rule over time, and it has been an oligarchy, however they have lost some power as they did not select Trump as their man and he won anyway.

well, republic democracy are same thing. and yeah, I agree with your last post.
a democratic republic, where we were the people were to elect our representatives, the state was to appoint their senators to represent them, but now the senators are elected as well and the state govt lost their power to a large extent. And to a large extent, the senate and congress have ceded their power to the judiciary and the executive (president). So the people have lost their voice. That's "democratic republic" morphing into a "democracy" and finally you have one party rule / fascist merger of gov't and big business interests. But they didn't count on the people rising up and electing trump, and trump is trying to return power to the congress by asking them to do their job (for example rescinding executive orders from Obama, not issuing a new order but telling congress to submit legislation to address the issue). The uniparty deep state hates trump and have been trying to stop him/subvert him from the first day they realized he was a threat to win the presidency.
well, <<republic democracy are same thing>>
Right. So ... Venezuela, Korea, Communist China? Communist China was a Republic, you know.
This is supposed to be the intellectual chessists. You might at least try! ![]()

yes, a republic, and a democracy are basically the same.
a republic can be democratic (as the people vote democratically to elect their representatives). But in a pure democracy, the people vote directly on every issues, as in ancient greece, and some european states are along those lines (take Brexit, for instance). However, a direct democracy can quickly lead to mob rule, that's why the US Founders wanted wise, learned representatives to make better decisions than the passions of "the mob". Unfortunately, with a welfare/socialist state, with the power to tax, the majority often votes to steal from the minority, voting themselves access to the states coffers. The politicians want power more than justice, they want the votes of the majority, and do as the mob demands. And ultimately it can wind up like Venezeula. That could be the fate of the USA if things keep going as they have been.
Communism.....uuuuurrrggghhh! Why? Because The Communists’ chief purpose is to destroy every form of independence—independent work, independent action, independent property, independent thought, an independent mind, or an independent man. Conformity, alikeness, servility, submission and obedience are necessary to establish a Communist slave-state!
I don't feel like writing an essay so just debate Communism and I'll refute you. I am pro.
