Debate of the month #1

the bishop is more in control of the diagonals which gives them a big advantage to play with but with the knight you can make all off this, more different to calculate' "FORKS" which make them very tricky.
To me it depends on the situation , i like to play them both.

Knights are better in a closed position while bishops are better in an open position, as knights can hop over pieces while bishops can't. I personally think bishops are slightly more valuable pieces, as you can force checkmate with two bishops, but not with two knights. However, that is the endgame, when there are less pieces on the board, but in the opening, when there are more pieces on the board, knights are extremely powerful since they can fork any pieces that aren't also knights. Really, a knight's value decreases as the game goes on, while a bishop's value increases.

Every month I will start a debate. Put your awnsers to every question and why!
