honestly, a 16x16 with 4 rows of jester bois for each side (randomly moves either like a wazir or a ferz and worth 0.1 points) is kind of cursed since the jester bois are cursed since they are randomly picked in the game to either move like wazirs or ferzes, also THEIR POINT VALUE IS CURSED (0.1 points)

This world has a standard chess game that can be played on a board as wide as 29 and even with three players. In canon they even treat anything wider than 18 as “cursed” with too many limited pieces or ironically the Archbishop which needs no help to checkmate the King in the corner of the board.

There’s already an XXL chess variant and a mini chess, but I find them to be limited. What are your ideas of variant chess boards with weird sizes, and what pieces will fill them?
