Dear Chess Friends,

An incredible blunder happened in the final game of Ding vs. Gukesh World Championship Match, so I made a video about it, starting with the critical position and I explain why Ding resigned at the end. You can watch the video with a FREE SUBSCRIPTION on my Patreon channel here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ding-vs-gukesh-117833071.

The main topics what you can learn from this video:

- Simplifying to a winning endgame

- The importance of the blockade

- 2 pawns vs. 1 pawn situations in pawn endgames

- Never feel bad if you made a huge blunder, even the best players do it sometimes!

I'm being honest, but even I could've defended that endgame from Ding's side even if my opponent is Gukesh, it was dead draw until the rook trade

Yes, I totally understand your point of view. But as I mentioned it in the video, just try to imagine yourself in their situation...they had been playing for 2.5 weeks, it's really exhausting and it was a really important event, so they were really nervous. Overall, they played at a really high level.

When I stress too much I always mess up

Same thing in any game

I'm much better when I'm chill

Yes, it's totally logical. When you are stressed, your adrenalin level is growing and it blocks your brain, that's why you cannot perform very well when you are too nervous.
