Good evening, all. I remember reading some folks discussing having a discord chat for the club but I was unable to find it again. Was there ever a chat made for the club?

No, I don't think so. I only heard about the possibility of making a Discord in the Charleston Chess Club chat on chess.com. I would join one if it were made.

You know now that you mention it, that is probably where I read it before. For whatever reason, the live chat doesn't work on the app on my phone.
