Which opening is better? The Russian game or the Italian game. And which one do you think is harder to play in?

i think the russian game is the petrov's defense, it is geerally not recommended for new players and intermediates because it involoves lettiing he knights come at each other and one may make a blunder and lose everything/ The italian game also has many variations but because of its simple kngith and bishop idea is consider slightly more friendly
