how do you resign pre-game?
I don't see a problem with the current system - at least - I like being able to abort games if I feel my partner is on tilt/has an agenda/extremely low rated to prevent tilting myself.
Every one is human - and seriously who cares if that's the reason. That kinda thing will effect you once for the day.
It feels truely petty to force people to lose rating if they clicked next game without thinking and then tried to abort it
I'm reading here that the problem here isn't about the people that abort occasionally because they've decided enough bughouse is enough but those that prolifically abort games to seek favourable matches and only play those games
I'm just saying that you'd have to find a solution that doesn't also affect your average Joe - and a warning for too many aborts is a function they already have in place
I think they do. I viewed a player (no names here) who had a shockingly bad loss rate, like 70% or something but was rated 2300 or whatever, and then I saw their games with 0 moves and understood why. Anyways, either way don't resign unless you really gotta go lol
thats obviously ken from fics am i right
As per the title, really. I've been wondering about this for a while now. If resignations did count as losses, would that discourage serial resigners? Despite rating restrictions and the block function, resignations are still a frustratingly common occurrence. I'm not asking about rating points, specifically your number of wins vs losses within bughouse under your stats. Curious why it's "resign" in bughouse and "abort" in regular chess.
