Magnus wore jeans to the world rapid championship and was disqualified for it! I personally think that it was not a good desision for him to think that he can be above the rules, but I know a lot of people support him with his desision.

Why? Carlsen knew that he couldn't wear jeans! It's not like that's a new rule. If he could get away with not respecting the rules and breaking them, then why should other players follow them too?! As a matter of fact, why should they be there at all if people can get away with disobeying them?

You are suppost to wear formal clothing, jeans are very casual. Did anyone else wear them? No, Everyone was in suits and fancy clothing. Promising is not good enough and he should abide by the rules just like everyone else.
