Does Bobby Fischer have a point?

I've wanted to discuss this mind burning topic with you guys.

In the following video, Bobby Fischer explains the enlightening reason for his hatred of chess. I have considered studying chess theory, and I know that Paul Martinez is currently doing just that. Also, considering the consequences discussed in the video, I want to know your thoughts.

Could getting better at chess have the permanent effect of disconnecting the fun factor of the game?

Of course, Bobby was the best of the best, and most of us will never become advanced grandmasters...excluding Paul.

Please express your opinion.

WOW! Ok, chess theory, for those who dont know, is always, never wrong rules for better play. For example, some of opening theory is : Dont take your Queen out too early, control the center, develop your pieces quickly, castle if possible, ect. So, what he is trying to say is that he was tiered of following chess theory and wanted to play chess ¨more creatively¨, thus creating Fischer960 (if you dont know what Fischer960 is click here). He felt so high level, that he wanted more of chess.  NO, chess doesnt loose its fun because of theory, it does the exact opposite.      I honestly believe that chess is beautiful because of theory.  I will end with this, the two reasons he ended up like he did, was because he was too proud and hated God and the Jews. I dont like to talk much about Bobby Fischer because he publicly hated our love towards God and Israel. And because those two facts, I do believe he was absolutely crazy. Chess is for fun and getting better, not for going crazy if you loose. I can guarantee your success if you do the exact opposite of what I just mencioned he had done.

And thanks for the kind words, Josh. I sincerely do not believe I am capable of getting even close to reach that title, but if I do, it will be in a VERY, VERY LONG time. And I also believe that other members of the club disserve to be recognized for THEIR potencial of reaching such a high level too. Keep ¨chessing¨ guys.
