Doesn’t seem particularly active. Last tournament was seven months ago.

but it doesn't have Lichess as the leader. (I checked it out) It has other people as the leader. So that means it is a made-up team.

Lichess doesn't, but there are other organizations like DMV Chess and Start Right Chess that run UCSF-rated events on lichess, the same way The Marshall runs games through chess.com. Register through them and make sure to have your camera on during events. Good luck!
