I used to bring my queen out early but i stoped
Don't move your queen too early?

I remember the first game... man that was a good game! I've got a new defense against the Winawer that I've been trying out... the Bogo Variaion.
Man I'm thinking we should do a series on Gambits. Man I got up on GM Boris after you mentioned him... the guy is a WEALTH of information on Gambits! I watched his video on the French Chatard/Alekhine gambit and played it in a tournament with a sweet victory.
I'm sure by now we have all heard the principle 'Don't move your queen too early in the opening!' This is sound advice, because your queen could become a good target for your opponent allowing him or her to develop with tempo. I'm sure that many of you have avoided early disaster by following this simple principle.
I agree with the adage, however after years of playing I would modify the wording a little. Today, I would say something like this:
In the opening, consider well the square on which you wish to move your queen. Can my queen be attacked on that square? If so, how can I respond?
I have come to this place because of the numerous games I've seen where either my opponent or I have played an early queen move, and the result of the game was favorable. Recently, I finished a team match in which an early queen move by me proved to be very disruptive to my opponent. Here's the match: http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=21497116
In another game I played against the late Nakamura_Fan
, my opponent beat me pretty handily after moving his queen on the 2nd move. Here's that match: http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=21702594
I'd like to hear the group's thoughts on the subject of early queen moves. There are probably thousands of examples out there.
