3 months seems too short. I would think 6 months would actually encourage presidents to make a long-lasting impact on the club.
3 months is already long enough. If you're going to have a president for that long, make an impeachment system. Also, I'm not sure if the president should be the same as the owner. In the future there might be someone who doesn't want to give their power back. And if that happens, we're fricked.
You could just send a club petition to chess.com support to remove the owner. I’ve discussed it before with them and if a certain percentage of club members consent, the owner will be removed.
