I don’t get it. Shouldn’t capitalism disprove liberalism’s core beliefs that humans are naturally cooperative?
Socialism leads to communism all the same. Also, I think capitalism is the best economic try that humans have. I think societal values and pressure can do a good job at stopping greed.

Capitalism works because of greed. Socialism can lead to communism as capitalism can lead to corporatism. It can be prevented.

I would say capitalism works because of every human's desire to survive. The vast majority of entrepreneurs run a business just to make an honest living. In capitalism, the government can be used to prevent extremist corporatism. However in socialism, we give the government power, but there is not guarantee that they will be honest and not drive into communism.

Socialism gives the people power. The government controlling the industries is communism. Basically, a truly socialist state is democratic. In fact, the US has some socialist elements in its economy. The US is not even a “true” capitalist state.
