1st and 2nd only wins if the ratings are below a certain ratings
ELO changes - Possible bug?

when the ratings are higher the 1st players takes 3win 2nd takes 0.5 loss 3rd also takes 0.5 loss and the 4th guy takes 2loss

the thing which you are mentioning was used before merge or you were playing games with low rated players which if why you were able to see win for 2nd

This might be slightly outdated but still should be mostly accurate

this isn't some kind of bug. It is just to make sure that people don't lose much ratings in 2400+ games or more above it.
i am pretty sure you could see 1st win 2nd win 3rd loss and 4th loss in games with low rated players while you could see 1st win 2nd loss 3rd loss 4th loss in any 2400+ seek

bruh i was writing an essay GS
You don't need 5 comments when you can just condense it into one comment if you're making a long response??

But it doesn't seem to be like this every time:
https://www.chess.com/variants/4-player-chess/game/69725256/
1st: 3 wins
2nd: 0.12 wins
3rd: 0.71 losses
4th: 2.41 losses
Avg score 2153
While on this game, Avg score was 2222
I wouldn't say that 2153 is low and 2222 is high

as you can see in the first game the loss was only 0.05 and in the second game it was only 0.12 win so the ratings in the second game were little lower compared to first one
Hi,
We just completed this game in 4PC Modern:
https://www.chess.com/variants/4-player-chess/game/69960811
But somehow the ELO score
1st: 3 wins
2nd: 0.05 losses
3rd: 0.65 losses
4th: 2.3 losses
I had the idea that 1st and 2nd always wins and 3rd / 4th always loses, especially as everyone was 2000+
