I just know it's gonna be so devastating once chess.com pairs me with decent players and I tilt -90 points in an hour after beating all of these blunderers to get to 1700

ya know, back in my day, getting from 1400 to 1500 was a really hard milestone to reach. YOU HAD TO **** PLAY GRUELING GAMES OF 15+10 WHERE GAMES TOOK 40 MINUTES AT LEAST FOR 8 RATING POINTS

that is why I play 10|0 so I can pretend that i'd be good at longer time controls yet still have time to play more than 1 game a month

thing is generally I spend <5 minutes by the end of each 15|10 game...
