In a good fightback we are now 7.5 - 6.5 up against Nitriansky Kraj after wins for Logsy and Rob and an excellent draw for Arnold.
Defeats for Tony, Peter and GG, however, have seen Bretagne Echecs pull back to 5-5.
A win for Nick and a draw for GG take us close to the line with Zilinsky Kraj. It's 10-5 with 1.5 points needed for victory.
We're also close to victory over Toscana too, where a win for James gives us a 15.5 - 9.5 with just a point needed to win.

Rob has also won in the match with Nitriansky Kraj. We now lead this one 8.5 - 6.5 with three more points needed to win.

A second point for Charlie has given us our first victory in Europe. His win takes us to 12-5 against Zilinsky Kraj. Well done, Charlie ! We're close to victory against Toscana where we lead 15.5 - 10.5 despite GG's loss. And a win for Logsy and defeat for Arnold, massively outgraded, against Brittany keeps the score level at 6-6.

Our score against Yorkshire has deteriorated and is now 8-9. 5 wins for stalwarts Jim, Darren and GG were counteracted by 7 defeats. I'll spare those folks' blushes ! Still a long way to go !
We've also struggled against Brittany where we are now 6.5 - 9.5 down. I'll spare Rupert, Peter and GG's blushes but congratulate Tony on a good draw on board 1.

Oliver's half point against Toscana takes the score to 16-11 so we need just another half for victory. Oliver's loss against Nitriansky Kraj has brought them level at 8.5 - 8.5 however.

Martyn's victory has given us our second win in this competition as we are 17-11 up against Toscana of Italy in the 16 board match. Not quite so favourable are the scores against Yorkshire and Nitriansky Kraj. Against Yorkshire defeats for Davidanthonyclarke and Daznet have put us 8-11 behind and against the Slovakians a defeat for GG makes the score 8.5 - 9.5.

Unfortunately our Europa Cup matches are not going as smoothly as our UK County matches. Defeats for Nick, Martyn and Rupert and two draws for Steve have put us 9-15 behind against Yorkshire. A defeat for Arnold and a win for Martyn have put us 9.5 - 10.5 behind against Nitriansky Kraj (they need just a point more) and defeats for Arnold and Rupert alongside wins for ChrisTT and Rupert put us 8.5 - 10.5 against Brittany 9they need 2 more points for victory.
