White, I almost always play c4, with the assumption that black will open e5, then I can play e4. giving my queen rule to both sides of the board. Plus I've never seen anyone open up with this, I think it kind of throws people off a little bit. Or is this a a bad move?

Black, open with a knight, or knight pawn, for a quick castle, if needed.

What does everyone else like? I don't know the names of any of these, but got a libary card and plan to hit the books :)

Apparently, no one likes any opening moves? I try to start a converstation between my fellow group members and no one responds? What is up with that? Are opening moves a highly classified secret?

Lame. . .

If I'm white i like to roll out with either f4 or b4, just to keep people on their toes. If I'm black I just go with the flow.

The Andersson variation of the Hedgehog, for white.

If black's totally accurate he gets a draw, if not, then he gets ground into a pulp with no play at all.
