I've been using a pretty basic F2L method since I learned to solve.

Recently I've been trying out Roux. I like it b/c it is relatively intuitive and seems like it could be very fast.

I am trying to get the hang of the last step with nailing down the last edges with just the M+U slices. Any tips?

Considering the title of the post, I'd have to say that I like the Fridrich method.

Considering the text of your post... well, I don't know Smile

I use CFOP (or Fridrich) method! I am sub 18 and most of the world record holders use it, like Feliks Zemdegs and Mats Valk. I have been cubing for about half a year.

Fridrich. I'm pretty slow at it though. Embarassed

CFOP for the win. I avg 9.5 with it. I can do roux in 20ish seconds though.
