Favourite opening?

Hi everybody,

What's your favourite openings and why do you like it?

Playing white: Kings pawn followed by scotch

Playing black:Sicilian defence or caro-kann

White, The reti/Kings indian attack

Black, Alekhine/Kings indian defence

Sicillia Defense only :D

White: I aim for Queens Gambit lines but love playing benoni with the white pieces!

Black: Caro Kann against e4; Played it since I joined chess club in 2003. Against d4 I aim for the Slav defense/Meran.

White-the fried liver attack,Sicilian defense Alapin variation or petrov defense

Black- Sicilian defense or Albin counter gambit

My favourite opening has got to be scotch! I love it!

and for black ruy lopez

White: I try to go for the Queen's gambit

Black: I like French and sometimes the Caro Kann or sicilian

I like the semi slav set up against 1. c4 as well.

White: English

Black: Sicilian

white : king's gambit and Sicilian
black : petrov defense and Nimzowitch

white: reti or catalan

black: najdorf or slav

White: English opening i think

Black: Ware opening

White: English because of the great flexibility.

Black: Modern Defense because of the variety of oppurtunities.

white : scotch

black :sicilian...........they are the only openings i know
