feedback? i mean, good first trial run I suppose. too " buggy" for me though. people got stuck in the loading for the new round, and it was overall very slow
feedback for arena tournament in beta testing

It worked, but half of the time when I tried to place a piece on the board, it wouldn’t work. Once I actually had a mate if I could have placed pieces but it didn’t work, and my partner lost. That may happen in regular bughouse too, though
I think that it is a cool idea but I think that it had multiple bugs. One of the big things is that there were multiple people who got stuck just looking for another match and it might be due to the dynamic that four people are needed to start a game and partnering dynamics.
I found it to be pretty fun and interesting. Partnerships are also very important and at first I was paired up with people who blundered their queens in the first few moves which was disappointing as I was playing down lots of material. A variety of different strategies were used including one which had an extremely low rated account just do nothing and attempt to get a checkmate before the low rated account's time ran out.
Overall a pretty fun tournament.

I was auto-partnered to a 400 for half the tournament. He never made a single move. The games didn't abort after 20 seconds. I had to play a chess game, then watch my opponents sit as soon as I was 2 pieces up. By the end of the tournament his rating matched his handle (231 at the end).
At one point in the tournament I didn't get a new game immediately and others had the same problem according to the tournament chat.
After 3 games I didn't get any matchups anymore.
I also wonder (just as for the Swiss bug tournaments) how partnering is determined. Dralath and Legion were partnered. Two 2300+ are obviously going to crush the tourney if all other people are partnered with 500-1200 partners.

We weren't partnered until later in the arena, so I assume he's referring to before that. Thanks though XD

There is no mistake in Big House, but they have to choose a partner who is not waiting for the random partner, because the server refuses to participate with a player who is waiting for a random partner. All this is the idea

I didn't partner up before the arena and relied on random partners throughout.
I had one random partner who did not make a move during our game, it wasn't immediately clear how I could prevent being paired with them again.
I had no gameplay issues; I could move and place pieces as well as use all chat functions.
I did get stuck without a match for about 5 minutes or so during the timeframe people have noted.
When the arena started matchmaking again after the 'freeze' I started getting matches even though I hadn't selected "Next Game"
It was fun, but definitely a little glitchy:
-In one game, it didn't show me the game board; instead, the game opened in a different tab (like when you are spectating a game and the players in that game start a rematch), and in that tab I was in the small board not the one where you can make moves.
-As others noted, I kept getting partnered with the same person (a 700 for a while which was frustrating, then Ryukim which was much better!)
-Pairing sometimes took a while
-Pairings were not always high v. high
tried joining but was stuck at the waiting for the next game to start. Maybe would try joining the tournament earlier in the next set up to see if i get a match if i am there earlier.
maybe do a shuttle type thing that there are new games starting in 2 min (then 4, 6, 8, 10 provided there are enough players) so that there are enough players in the pool for the next match up and it doesn't end up with a player singly waiting out to play while other who end there game get a quick match. I don't know if it would help, or what the problem was this time, but i hope it helps, and we have a successful tournament next time around.. Good luck to devs and chesscom team.

One main bug was that when playing the games that where supposed to abort never aborted and even when my opponent ran out of time the other game still continued also just as a suggestion: I once had a mate in 1 if I got rook that my partner could easily get for me by sacraficing his queen but was too stupid to get that you should as a pre-recorded picture to send to say nate if___. Not just need ___. And the opponent was a 2200 and I lost cause there was no such button!! Can you please consider adding it? Also please look into the auto abortion issue
