Fianchetto Queenside with Black

I found it interesting to try out a Fianchetto Queenside with Black castling on the King Side.
I thought it was interesting because of the position it takes on the White Pawn, which usually shows up at E4. 

For me, with Black it seems to be easier to win with my Fianchetto on the Queenside.

Any comments?

Would it be safer to fianchetto after moving the rook ?

I always feel like im pinning my rook if i do it to early.

I like keeping my rooks for later game, or then a strategy I used was to defend rook with knight on the extreme side.
Somewhat; dangerous!?
