flip board view ?

When I flip the board view using Shredder iPhone app it also decides to switch the side it's playing and make the next move!  Has anyone else noticed this?  Any way to just flip the view without changing sides?   Does Hiarcs allow you to reverse the view? 

Yes, Shredder is different from Hiarcs in that regard.  In Hiarcs, when you flip the board, you do *not* switch sides or force the engine to move automatically.

I might buy it just for that although I'm not wild about the way the pieces look.  I know that shouldn't matter but it does (for me).  I've owned a few different versions of Hiarcs before and thought it was excellent btw...

Yeah, Hiarcs isn't the easiest on the eyes, but it's an awesome app. I've never been much of a "flipper," but fwiw, Shredder & Deep Green assume that flipping the board = changing sides, whereas Hiarcs & tChess Pro just plain flip.

I like tChess Pro for playing through variations in books.  You just disable the computer and away you go.  When you get lost you can just hit the back button.  Its "edit position" utility is also excellent - very easy / fast to use - nice.
