Free Ways to Make An Impact on the Environment!!!

Hey everyone!!! I only joined the Environmental Protection Society today, but I already love this club - I can tell everyone here truly cares about saving our planet, which is something I relate to very much. In honor of Earth Day on Friday, I compiled a list of free ways to make an impact (plant trees, save them from being cut down, remove ocean pollution, etc.), and I've been spreading the word as much as I can! Unfortunately, not many people realize the severity of the situation that's affecting our planet, so I decided to find a chess.com club that feels the same way I do, and as soon as I found this club, I knew I had to join! Anyway, here's the list, there's also a Google Doc with the same information that I'll link below.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ecosia (https://www.ecosia.org/) -> search engine plants a tree for every 45 searches, and have already planted nearly 150 million, aka a tree every 1.3 seconds! They also publish financial reports for proof.

OceanHero (https://oceanhero.today/) -> a new tab page AND search engine that removes plastic bottles from the ocean! They've already recovered nearly 30 million and post numbers every month for proof. OceanHero also has games that support this cause as well!

Free The Ocean (https://www.freetheocean.com/) -> answer a trivia question every day to remove one piece of plastic from the ocean!

refoorest (https://www.refoorest.com/en/?ref=EXT-70371) -> an easy-to-use browser extension that plants trees whenever you visit websites they're affiliated with! They've already planted over 200,000 trees and have a donor page on edenprojects.org for proof! (Referral link plants an extra tree)

OpenTabs (https://app.opentabs.org/r/61e45586155967345356a88b/) -> a tab extension that SAVES trees from being cut down for every 5 tabs thanks to a few ads (and a beautiful background) on the new tab page! OpenTabs also has games that support this cause as well! (Referral link saves 10 extra)

Treetab (https://treetab.co/user?u=2671a3cea22b04828387239ded7b76aa75d3b447) -> same as OpenTabs, but they plant trees instead! (Referral link plants an extra tree)

ForestNation (https://fn8.io/pwm?r=13449) -> take quizzes to learn more about the Earth and plant trees for every three quizzes you get 100% on! My referral link plants 10 extra trees!!!

OurForest (https://app.ourforest.io/invite/?referrer=qJjFzdhWPhLKGTPZTEuF) -> quite similar to Treetab in that they plant trees with tabs through ads, but two key differences: my referral link plants 10 trees (5 for you and 5 for me) instead of just one and their ads feature eco-friendly businesses you can purchase from!!!

YouCare (https://youcare.world/) -> also a search engine, but it has extra ways to help - that aren’t environmental-related, too, such as providing clean water and supporting cancer research - but if you’re looking to specifically help the Earth, you can plant trees, remove plastic from the ocean, and restore coral reefs with YouCare!

Apps:

MyTrees -> Log an eco-friendly action you did that day and save trees from being cut down! Use referral code (AIlaumQeox) to save extra!

Note: I can confirm all of these links are completely legit and will not give you a computer virus. I've been using these for months and some of my family and friends were openminded enough to use them as well.

Enjoy!!! Comment below if you decide to use any of these!!! Signing off, 🌎🌍🌏

Happy Arbor Day, everyone!!! If anytime, now is the time to plant some free trees 😉

It is recommended to have lavender in your bedroom, to help with sleep. Plants in general also have a symbiotic relationship with humans, in that we breath each other's exhales. A world with no plants is a dead world. Neither man nor animals can survive without them. I recommend planting trees, if you have a place to do so. God loves the life He created, and we were originally put in a garden, to be its caretakers. I believe this still pleases Him, as it shows we still value our home and our lives, while also willingly accepting the place in life He gave us.

Who hasn't a place, can ask local governors to plant in public sites
